A shame to see Rattlesnake closed, it's really not ideal for the park to only have three operational coasters during the summer season.

If the ride is being removed, the replacement has to be a coaster rather than a flat ride IMO, otherwise the park's lineup (in terms of coasters) will be very sparse.

Oh no! Rattlesnake is the favourite ride of my 5 grandchildren who will be so disappointed when we all go on the 26th August for an 8th birthday treat.  It seems popular with everyone - why would it be closed? It's the main one they go for so not sure if the Park will offer the same interest as few rides for this age group. Did it fail safety tests? PLEASE replace with something similar

None of us know what's going on yet.
There's plenty for 8 year olds to do, not so much for teens and adults.

My previous post wasn't published so perhaps this one won't be - but took 5 grandchildren to the Park yesterday and the loss of Rattlesnake definitely left a big hole - the Pirate Ship substituted but not as good. The big rides are a bit scary still for the just 8 year olds and over so there needs to be more in the Family Rides section please. Won't go again this season.

The recent official Facebook posts seem intriguing:

Q. "I really hope the rattlesnake stays at pleasurewood hills, this is by far the best kids ride. I hope it just needs some upgrading and will be back very soon."

Pleasurewood Hills response: "We hope so too!"

Q. "Are you replacing rattlesnake ? We miss it !"

Pleasurewood Hills response: "All will be revealed!"

The first response sounds almost like they are assessing the costs of repairing it or whether it can be repaired, however the second response gives the impression PWH already know and that the Rattlesnake will be kept, potentially with a new theme or an enclosed ride. If it isn't inclosed then hopefully PWH will not cut or remove the grass (resulting like the currently sparse Cannonball Express) as that really adds to the snake theme!

Any news on a potential replacement (or reopening) of Rattlesnake?

I wonder what they did with the fluorescent snakes up the tunnel.
