2016 Season Discussion

So it's that time of year again when it's socially acceptable to start talking about next years developments.

What do we think will happen, and what do we expect?

Matt, did you get any hints at what could possibly happen by next year?

RE: 2016

Sadly not. I was told that the budget for new attractions and refurbishments will be decided later in the year.

Ah yes, I remember now.

I didn't know if for example they'd said like the Rattlesnake refurb to be completed next year, etc.

Dear Santa please can PWH have a large injection of funding so that it fix and retheme Enigma and The Rattlesnake plus install a few other attractions...

PWH promises to be good...

Only if it was to be replaced by a better water ride.

I've always thought that it would be good to see the Log Flume extended. Before the first drop would be ideal, and they could then make an indoor section.

It's only a metal trough, they could do it in-house!

Wouldn't mind seeing it with round tubs instead

If they where going to replace it with something like tidal wave or drenched then I wouldnt mind it being removed. Because the park have had a bit of a gap year with hyperdrive I think a more permanent new attraction should be in line (A eurofighter please santa. Or if PWH is really, really good can we have a megalite?).

Mega-Lite! More chance of Woody becoming Woodina in the first ever theme park mascot gender reassignment!

Would be very nice though! (A mega-lite not Woodina)

If the smaller investments continue, and the parks starts making some real profit, I can see bigger rides coming in the future.

I think their main way to start getting more people in would be to introduce more thorough themeing around the whole park. The most well themed ride in the park is hobs pit and TOTC could also pass for its theme. They both get some of the biggest queues in the park, so surely that says something.

Maybe they get big queues because they can't get enough people through fast enough?

I doubt you'll be seeing any more 'big' rides for a while, I suspect they'll get more smaller, kids rides to continue to grow their 'kid friendly' brand they've been pushing this year.

Its the 'Family' brand they are pushing. Something for the whole family!

TTT needs to be operating properly next season or I think it might have to go. Rides like that really make the park look like a fairground.

In my opinion if they are going more down the children's route they need a partnership with a well known children's character put into place. Alton Towers have Ceebebies land, Drayton Mannor Thomas the Tank Engine, Chessington Madagascar and of course Paulton Park with Peppa Pig world. Although something on the scale of Peppa pig world is unrealistic it worked wonders for them and really put them on the map.

Tales of the Coast only gets a queue because they run it on three boats! I hope that ride gets both a retheme and capacity upgrade, both are needed and it could be quite a good dark ride.

Forgot to mention, I saw a bundle of potential "capacity upgrades" sitting in the maintenance area, there was; a Marble Madness train, ToTC boat and some Log boats.

Could just be a scrap heap pile though.... :-/

As far as I can remember the log flume boats where there last year. I don't know about the MM train because there's been one sitting on the storage track in front of that shipping container all season as well as the one in the maintenance yard.

I'd love for PWH to have a new flat ride following on from Hyperdrive, perhaps something to replace TTT since we all know deep down inside that it is condemned to the scrap heap.
