Pleasurewood Chills

No secrets here. PWC will include: Hobs Pit Live, Satan's Circus (Labyrinth), Tales of The Haunted Coast (TOTC) and some other live actor interactive episodes. There will also be some other things going on. But that's the main line up. This is just the start. Every year from here onwards we're going to build on our Halloween offer.

This is our first dabble at doing it properly. :)

Looking good, looks like a proper effort is being made this year.

Awesome.
What happens at the park for Halloween usually?
(do you still open for Christmas?)

They have opened at Christmas in the past but don't at the moment. Loving the H'we'en logo, looks fantastic. So has Stitch been ditched?

That Skull reminds me of the tv show Knigtmare (the early life force) :P

So we will have Hobs Pit:Live for the adults. Perhaps TOTC:Live for the kids? Sean Alexander puts on a special horror edition of his magic show?

This is going to be a whole new ball game according to Ben...so what else can we expect as well as HP:Live?

I hope the Labyrinth is finally utilised for a scaremaze!

It's good to hear a 'horror' show playing over Halloween. and a few one offs for the holiday makes them exciting and special.
I guess they might hired some 'horror/scary' style/themed ride for the week. (like a traditional ghost train) but I doubt this.

Funny thing is come Easter all the Halloween decorations are still out. :P

Have they removed the decorations from the mini railyway tunnel? (there was also bat hanging in there)

There's no need to hire anything temporary or tacky when the park have enough on their doorstep to utilise... There was a vague idea last year that the Laser Labyrinth could be turned into a scaremaze so I hope this happens, then there is the opportunity to make Hobs Pit 'live' with actors, plus there are other chances like with pop-up shows, roaming actors or adding things to Tales of the Coast... There's enough doable around the park without the needfor something temporary.

I think if you invested more into something big at Christmas then I think you'd see a lot more families. Just a thought, who are you aiming your Halloween advertising at? Said with a smile :)

It will definitely be a family affair, but some great attractions for teenagers. We are already late to the party with regards to Halloween. The event will only get bigger. A few years ago the UK only celebrated it for a day. Then it grew to a weekend, no its more like a whole week. In only a few more years it will be more like the Halloween celebrations and festivities of that in the US.

Regarding Christmas. It's a long way off from being something we'd consider at the moment.

Hi Patrick, hopefully your thoughts are echoed out there in the real world too. That's what we're aiming for. :)

I doubt Halloween will ever take off in the uk as it is in America (thankfully) We hardly celebrate it now as it is.
Still a fun little seasonal thing, but it's not all about ghosts and ghouls in the US.

Possibly the most creative month of the year so I say embrace it.

really nice colours and textures used for that Halloween logo!

Has a 3d look to it - better than the current logo? :p ha

is there in the uk a all year 'dark' theme park? If not... there's clearly a gap in the market.

Fritton Lake made a real balls up. Tickets were high and there was pretty much nothing there, and food cost a fortune.
I guess it was good that Somerleyton hall/estate tried to make the effort but I don't blame them for giving up on the idea.
His folk festival is much more profitable.. although last year it was mostly punk bands.. lol

Christmas events never seem to be that popular, so I wouldn't want to waste time and effort at that time of year.

Back to PWC though, and wow, it sounds like it's going to be pretty neat. The Dinosaur park currently holds the top spot in Norfolk for halloween, I wonder if that will change this year....?!

^Technically PWH is in Suffolk, by about a mile. PWC looks fantastic, so glad the park is making a proper effort on halloween this year and I love the Tales of the Haunted Coast image.

Any improvement to TOTC is a win I think :)

Live people in the tunnel... I get scared with the squeaky models... When they work of course :)
